The outstanding feature of the estate is its natural trails you'll find winding and dropping between the trees and past lochs and burns. The single-tracks offer challenging roots and features that change subtley with the seasons. The views are worth stopping for, all the more so as they seem to appear suddenly after being in the depths of the forest.
With the help of Rik Allsop from Riks Bike Shed eight different trails from green to black have been developed so there is something for everyone. The natural features within the woodlands have been used to create the very rooty and technical red route. Both the blue, red and black routes weave between each other to enable different ability groups to ride together, at individual levels. Before you head out on the trails why not test your abilities on the new skills loop, where you'll find elements of all the trails and be able to choose your trail. The whole area covered by the trails is deceptively large, the red route is over 20k though there are short-cuts built in.
Riks Bike Shed is on-site and is open most of the year, for repairs, spares and bike hire... and advice of course.
Why pedal up hills when you can get a lift?. An up lift service is available to take you and your bike to various points on the Estate. For further details on this service, please contact the Ranger Service.
There is an entrance charge during the season for the use of the estate. Biking Heaven has agreed to promote that outside these times you are welcome to park, bike and use the showers till 5pm. There is a small charge for the shower.
